Iowa Lakes Regional Water Letter with Services Agreement

All Orleans water service customers should have received a letter from Iowa Lakes Regional Water about their rates and a request to sign and return a water services agreement. Their rates are higher than what you’ve been paying so far. It’s worth noting that they are constructing a new service for Orleans and have been doing this without generating any revenue. The new rates are needed to fund the extension of their water lines to Orleans. They expect to provide services by May 2026, but with construction progressing well, we might see services earlier than anticipated.

Please note the reason they are requesting an easement on the property is to access the water service line, meter and for shut offs. Anything inside the house would be arranged by appointment with the owner. They assure you that their only intention is to maintain the system throughout the city of Orleans.
